Singapore Resumes Pork Imports from Taiwan After ASF Restrictions Are Lifted

On April 9, 2026, the Singapore Food Agency issued a trade circular announcing that the temporary restriction on pork and pork products from Taiwan had been lifted with immediate effect. The circular referred to an earlier notice dated October 28, 2025 and stated that the import restrictions were removed due to the resolution of African Swine Fever (ASF).

The notice was addressed to meat traders and confirmed that the reopening applied to pork and pork products from Taiwan. This marks a formal restoration of market access after the disease-related suspension.

For meat traders and supply chain participants, the update indicates that sanitary status changes can quickly alter sourcing options and import availability in regional protein trade.
