China has opened the public consultation process for the revision of the national standard “Feed additive—Part 2: Vitamins, provitamins and chemically well-defined substances having similar effect—Inositol.” According to the National Public Service Platform for Standards Information, the project is a mandatory revision proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and assigned to the National Technical Committee on Feed Industry Standardization. The public consultation period runs from March 13 to April 12, 2026, with a project cycle of 16 months.
For the feed additive industry, this update reflects the continued improvement of China’s feed standard system and signals rising expectations for product consistency, quality control, and compliance management. The project scope covers production, processing, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, and shelf life for inositol used in feed, showing that standardization is becoming more detailed across the full product chain.
